MAHIKA MADE STUDIOS

Mahika Made Studios is a space built to encourage self-expression, individuality, and intentional creation.

“Mahika” means magic in Tagalog — a connection to my Filipino roots and a reminder to put your “magic,” a piece of yourself, into everything you create and do.

Create with intention & alignment.

OUR STORY

Mahika Made started long before it had a name.

My introduction to creating came through my mom’s brand, Dezir’re Designs. While she worked on her projects, she taught me the fundamentals — from working with beads and wire to sewing and building pieces from scratch. That’s where I first learned how to bring ideas to life with my hands. What started as something to keep me occupied quickly became something I genuinely enjoyed. I began experimenting on my own, creating small pieces and slowly developing my own style.

Over time, it naturally evolved — from a creative outlet to a form of self-expression, then into a hobby, a side hustle, and eventually something more. From elementary school through high school, I would create pieces here and there and sell them to classmates and teachers. It wasn’t structured, but it was consistent — something I always found my way back to.

After high school, I went to cosmetology school and earned my license. During that time, I continued creating and launched my first website, using it as a space to experiment, learn, and build on what I already knew. That’s when I realized I could turn my creativity into something real.

In 2014, I created CaliVamp, my first official brand. It gave me the space to explore my style and begin understanding what it meant to build something of my own. As I grew, my direction became clearer, and in 2022 I rebranded to Mahika Made — a name that connects to my Filipino roots and reflects a more intentional approach to everything I create.

She is wearing a white bucket hat, a black crop top, light blue ripped jeans, and has accessories including a necklace, large hoop earrings, and a waist chain. She is smiling with her eyes partially shaded by the hat, with houses, trees, and a clear blue sky in the background.

THE FOUNDER

Hello, I’m Dezir’e — the creator behind Mahika Made.

I’m of Filipino and Thai heritage and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve always been drawn to creating and working with my hands. What started as simple curiosity turned into experimenting with different forms of art — from jewelry to beauty to things like painting and photography. I’ve always enjoyed figuring out how to take an idea and turn it into something real.

That naturally led me into cosmetology school, where I focused on braiding and lash extensions. It was there that my attention to detail really sharpened, but more importantly, it’s where my foundation in business began. I learned the importance of presentation, how to carry myself professionally, how to represent what I’m offering, and how to connect and build relationships through networking.

As I continued creating, I realized that one of the most rewarding parts of it wasn’t just the work itself, but the impact. Whether through cosmetology, jewelry, brand building, or creating websites, I enjoy seeing how people connect with what I create and the confidence and joy that comes from it.

Over time, that perspective deepened into understanding people more — how we express ourselves, how we show up, and how we connect with what we create. That carries into everything I build, and Mahika Made is where it all comes together — a space where I can create, experiment, and keep building something that continues to grow with me.
